Our Commitment
Dewitt Home Hub is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to real estate information and the ability to connect with a licensed agent — regardless of ability.
Standards We Aim to Meet
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with:
- Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
- Hearing impairments
- Motor or dexterity limitations
- Cognitive or learning disabilities
Measures We Have Taken
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy.
- All images include descriptive
altattributes. - Interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) are keyboard-navigable.
- Form inputs are labeled and include focus indicators.
- Color contrast ratios for text meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimums.
- The photo gallery and lightbox include
aria-labeland keyboard navigation (arrow keys and Escape). - The site does not use auto-playing audio or video.
- Map embeds include a text-based address as an alternative.
Known Limitations
While we strive to meet accessibility standards, some third-party content may not fully conform:
- MLS listing data — property details are provided by the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® MLS and displayed as received. Formatting is outside our direct control.
- OpenStreetMap tiles — map tiles are rendered images and may not be fully accessible to screen readers. A text address is always provided alongside the map.
We continue to identify and address accessibility issues as they are discovered.
Request Assistance
If you experience difficulty accessing any content on this website, or if you need information in an alternative format, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information you need through an accessible alternative.
We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 3 business days.
Fair Housing and Non-Discrimination
Accessibility of our website is part of our broader commitment to equal housing opportunity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, or any other class protected by the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 3601–3619) or the Michigan Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act (MCL 37.2101 et seq.).
Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Dewitt Home Hub. If you find a barrier we have not addressed, please let us know so we can continue to improve.
